Fuchsia has been used, abused and cast aside by the rest of the cast over the course of two books (or four hours) and we can at least allow her some agency in her death. The only bright spots for her are her brother (whom she envies as much as she loves) and a social climbing boy named Steerpike…he may or may not love her, but he will do grievous harm to all she holds dear.įor all book fans have railed against the miniseries for changing her manner of death, I actually prefer it.
